This exhibition aims to rediscover the joy of eating through the eyes of Salvador Dali. Specifically through the works in his cookbook Les Diners De Gala, a book that celebrates the indulgence of food, and uses symbolism to explore issues like sex, love, religion, and politics.
I would like people to leave with new connection to food, feeling inspired to cook their own creations, and engage with the world and food with a playful spirit. Have a greater understanding of the surrealist art movement, and to give the audience a serious weapon in the struggle for political, social, and personal freedom.......art. This exhibition will also be used as a fundraiser for the arts, and food justice.
